Great Service at Arabica
Recently I stopped by Arabic to grab a quick drink as I was heading back to work. I usually get a hot chocolate and today would be no different even though it was probably close to 60 degrees outside. There were two ladies working the counter and both were extremely friendly and talkative and treated me like a regular even though I’m not. One of them suggested I add a shot of marshmallow flavor. I’ve been burnt in the past with these kinds of suggestions from other places but I decided to go for it. I’m glad I did because it tasted like I was drinking a smores, different but good and I’d have it again.

Ninety One Wood Fired Oven (Fulton Dr.)
I’ve been here a handful of times and the food has always been generally good. Our last visit to this location was in February. We went on a Wednesday and they were moderately busy but not crowded and the hostess greeted us promptly. The server was very polite, didn’t rush us through just to fill the table again, and was there when we needed him. The place seemed clean and well taken care of. We ordered a salad that consisted of baby spinach, blueberries, sugar free lemon dressing, and what was supposed to be warm brie cheese. The salad was very good although the brie wasn’t warm but the bread they bring you along with the dipping sauce is excellent and made up for it. For our main course we had what they call an Italian pie (pizza) that had red sauce, ricotta cheese, fresh mozzarella, and thin crust. It was baked to perfection and had a great taste. For the salad and pizza (sorry, Italian pie) the price was more than reasonable. There are many other great selections on the menu but keep in mind they can get pricey and if you throw in some drinks and dessert the bill can jump quickly. Overall this is a nice place to visit and we’ll certainly go back.

3 Brother’s Corner Tavern
My wife and I stopped in here recently for the first time. We heard it was somewhat of a sports bar but also a place that you could take your family if you wanted. This description pretty much hits the nail on the head. There is a bar area but then off to the side there are tables and booths (each booth with its own flat screen TV I must say). There were also plenty of large flat screen TV’s scattered around the room of which we counted almost twenty that you could be sure to catch your favorite sporting event on. The place looked to be well kept and in good condition with a nice casual atmosphere. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive making us feel very comfortable.
For the food part, the menu offers a nice selection so you’re odds of finding something you like are pretty good. For an appetizer we opted for the soft pretzels (two large ones) that came with honey mustard and cheese sauce for dipping. These were both cooked well and also tasted great. For dinner I chose the beef Gyro with French fries while my wife went for the chicken enchiladas that came with chips and salsa. Overall I’d say my Gyro was ok. The pita was warm and soft with an excellent sauce however the beef lacked much taste. I’m not sure but I have a feeling it came precooked and frozen and then re-cooked. It had grill marks on it although I have a feeling those marks were from the manufacturer and not from the restaurant cooking it. Aside from that the crinkle cut French fries were somewhat crispy but didn’t provide much flavor. My wife took a gamble on the enchiladas since this is not a Mexican restaurant but it paid off as they were tasty with plenty of cheese, chicken, and even corn. Her chips were good and even came with a handful of fried pepper rings which was a nice touch. I told myself I would go back again and next time I think I’d try the fish sandwich or one of their cheeseburgers.
